Ingredients

  • 2 cups reduced-fat baking mix like Bisquick
  • ¾ cup fat-free buttermilk
  • 1 cup fat-free cheddar cheese

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons fat-free margarine
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon parsley flakes

Instructions

Make the Dough

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly spray a baking sheet or muffin tin.
  • In a bowl, mix baking mix, buttermilk, and cheddar cheese until just combined.

Shape the Biscuits

  • Drop dough into 12 portions onto the baking sheet, or divide evenly into muffin tins.

Bake

  • Bake for 16–20 minutes until biscuits are lightly golden and set.

Add the Topping

  • Melt margarine with garlic powder and parsley in the microwave.
  • Brush over warm biscuits immediately after baking.

  • Serve warm and enjoy.
