Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter

Decoration

  • Vanilla frosting
  • Red food coloring
  • Green food coloring
  • Red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • In a food processor, combine flour, powdered sugar, salt, and butter until crumbly.
  • Transfer the dough to a bowl and knead gently until it comes together.
  • Roll the dough into a 1/2-inch-thick square on waxed paper.
  • Cut the dough into 1/2-inch squares and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 18–20 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Cool completely before decorating.
  • Divide frosting into three bowls and color one red and one green.
  • Frost cookies and decorate with red and green sprinkles.
