Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 16 oz jar of salsa (mild or spicy)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lime juice optional
  • Corn or flour tortillas for serving
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, jalapeƱos, cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken in the bottom of the Crock-Pot.
  • Pour salsa over the chicken.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning evenly over everything.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Once fully cooked, shred the chicken with two forks directly in the Crock-Pot.
  • Stir in lime juice, if using.
  • Serve the chicken in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.
