  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning or more to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl or plate, whisk together the flour, lemon pepper seasoning, and a generous pinch of salt.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Dredge chicken breasts in the seasoned flour, coating them evenly on both sides.
  • Add chicken to the hot skillet and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
  • Lower heat slightly and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, whisk in the lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  • Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
  • Add lemon zest to the flour for extra zing.
  • For a spicier kick, include a pinch of cayenne in the flour mix.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
