This creamy broccoli-cauliflower salad with bacon, red onion, and sunflower seeds can be prepared the day prior to serving, then served chilled or at room temperature.
Ingredients
- 12 slices bacon
- 1 head cauliflower chopped
- 1 head fresh broccoli diced
- ¾ cup sunflower seeds
- ½ red onion diced
- 1 cup creamy salad dressing
- 1 ½ tablespoons white wine vinegar
- ¼ cup white sugar
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients.
- Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly
- browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels; crumble.
- Combine bacon, cauliflower, broccoli, sunflower seeds, and onion in a large bowl.
- Whisk salad dressing, sugar, and vinegar together until blended. Pour over cauliflower mixture and toss to coat.
- Refrigerate and allow to chill before serving.
Notes
- You can use pecans instead of sunflower seeds if desired.
