1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, softened

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup

In a large bowl, stir together flour and baking soda. In the bowl of a mixer, beat margarine, white sugar, and brown sugar on medium until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fully combined. With the mixer on low, add flour mixture slowly. Stir in chocolate chips. Press dough into prepared pan and bake for about20-25 minutes or until edges are golden but center is still soft.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted margarine and vanilla and whisk until smooth. Stir in pecans and pour over chocolate chip cookie. Spread evenly and place pan back in the oven for about 25-35 minutes or until pecan mixture is browned and set. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
