4 ounces German Chocolate baking chocolate
½ cup shortening
½ cup buttermilk
½ teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs

COCONUT PECAN FROSTING
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
½ cup butter
1⅓ cups shredded coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
