Broccoli Cauliflower Salad Recipe

This creamy broccoli-cauliflower salad with bacon, red onion, and sunflower seeds can be prepared the day prior to serving, then served chilled or at room temperature.



12 slices bacon
1 head cauliflower, chopped
1 head fresh broccoli, diced
¾ cup sunflower seeds
½ red onion, diced
1 cup creamy salad dressing
1 ½ tablespoons white wine vinegar
¼ cup white sugar


  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly
  3. browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels; crumble.
  4. Combine bacon, cauliflower, broccoli, sunflower seeds, and onion in a large bowl.
  5. Whisk salad dressing, sugar, and vinegar together until blended. Pour over cauliflower mixture and toss to coat.
  6. Refrigerate and allow to chill before serving.




  • You can use pecans instead of sunflower seeds if desired.
  • Bacon lovers might want to add a few extra slices!
