2 lbs Stew Beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp brown sugar
28 oz can diced tomatoes, with juice
15 oz can chili beans
salt to taste
*toppings of your choice: of shredded cheese, minced onion, sour cream, jalapenos, cilantro etc….
- Place beef, garlic, onion, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, sugar, tomatoes with juice and beans in slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Season with salt to taste. Serve with your choice of toppings
FREEZER MEAL DIRECTIONS
- Place all ingredients in a gallon sized freezer bag except for salt and toppings. Label with name and date and any additional instructions or notes. When ready to cook: Allow it to thaw for 24 hours in the fridge. Cook in slow cooker for 6 to 8 hours. Season with salt to taste and serve with your choice of toppings.
