Creamy and Cheesy Spinach Tortellini

Creamy and Cheesy Spinach Tortellini – It’s creamy, cheesy, and delicious!


  • 1 (16 oz.) package frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano, undrained
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and dried
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Cook frozen tortellini according to package directions.
  2. In a large pan, saute onion in olive oil until tender. Then add garlic, spinach, and tomatoes.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook over medium heat for a couple of minutes until liquid is absorbed.
  5. Stir in the whipping cream and cheese and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 10 minutes or until the cream sauce is thickened.
  7. Drain tortellini and mix into the creamed spinach.
  8. Sprinkle each serving with extra Parmesan cheese.
