Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed French Bread Recipe


Ingredients

1 lb carne asada, thinly sliced beef
1 tbs olive oil
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp black pepper
A pinch of salt
1 can Ro*TEL
1 green pepper
1/2 a large yellow onion
8 slices of provolone cheese
1 loaf of French Bread

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Thinly slice up the onions and peppers, set aside
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add carne asada, thinly sliced beef, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and a can of Ro*TEL.
  4. Cook until meat is fully browned, and starting to get tender (10 minutes or so)
  5. Remove from heat, and put meat into a bowl
  6. Add the peppers and onions to the pan
  7. Take your meat mixture, and drain the liquid off into the skillet with the onions and peppers. Cook for 10 minutes until peppers and onions are tender and fragrant
  8. Cut your French Bread down the sides, and pull the top off, scoop out some of the bread to make a space.
  9. Lay half your cheese slices down the center of the bread
  10. Spoon in your meat mixture
  11. Spoon in your peppers and onions mixture
  12. Top with the remaining cheese, and put the bread strip back on top
  13. Wrap in foil and bake at 350 for 20 minutes
  14. Remove from foil, slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes
* For additional tomato flavoring, add a can of Hunt’s Fire Roasted tomatoes at the same time you add the Ro*TEL
